RideWrap Bike Shop Lead

The Opportunity

With shops worldwide and our HQ in Whistler, Canada, RideWrap is now expanding to Freiburg, Germany. This position will be leading operations and the shop in our upcoming Freiburg location. You’ll be the go-to person for day-to-day activities at the shop, driving output and team success while working in tandem with the business team to grow RideWrap in the local region, focusing on community and relationships. This is a wide-ranging role with the goal of operational success and growth in the region.

RideWrap’s proprietary systems are born from combining a background in precision engineering with a love for riding bikes. We produce industry-leading frame protection components for all bikes and riders.

The Responsibilities

Leadership and Production/Install Team Management

  • Retail shop team coordination: manage schedules/timesheets and output to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Support, motivate and lead the team through collaborative goal-setting and regular check-ins.
  • Conduct daily catch-ups and meetings to set tasks for the day.
  • Conduct weekly week-ahead meetings.
  • On-board and train new team members.

Production/Installation/Customer Service Processes

  • Lead operations in our Freiburg facility including Production, Installation, Warehouse and Customer Service
  • Complete day-to-day Production, Install, and measurement activities as part of the retail team to ensure location accuracy, quality, and delivery is maximised.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, printer errors, and kit design flaws and manage misprints library.
  • Maintain exceptional quality of order fulfillment with the goal of 100% accuracy.
  • Streamline existing and new processes with the goal of 100% raw material efficiency.
  • Managing install schedule/calendar.
  • Supervise installation output/quality.

Community

  • Build strong relationships in the community, with regional stores, customers, dealers, and wider RideWrap teams as a representative of the brand and location.
  • Organise and execute community events, group rides, etc.
  • Organise and execute dealer install training sessions
  • Identify ambassador talent to support the growth of the RideWrap brand regionally

Business Development

  • Develop and execute business development ideas and strategies to grow the business regionally.
  • Develop and monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs
  • Review and optimize monthly segment reporting and operations metrics for the business
  • Develop efficiencies within the systems, products, and processes to maximise output and growth

Facility Management

  • Build equipment knowledge-base and ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to.
  • Inventory management - ensure accurate procedures and request restock where needed.
  • Shop management - build a culture of presentability throughout and ensure safety requirements are adequate (including WH&S, access and security/cameras).
  • Take ownership of facility maintenance and presentability from reception and customer service to staff areas, breakrooms, offices, and the production floor
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications/experience

  • A high degree of organisation, attention to detail, and level of professionalism.
  • Sales experience.
  • Retail management experience.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite is an asset.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English.
  • B-Class driver's license minimum with clean record- essential.
  • Biking experience/knowledge: 3 years - essential.
  • Customer Service: 1 year - essential.
  • Degree or diploma in business administration - asset.
  • General stoke for bikes and life!
